Hello,
Jun 05, 2020 Mac OS X 10.6 (Driver 256.02) Here's other similar drivers that are different versions or releases for different operating systems: Nvidia Quadro Graphics Driver 442.92.
OS X has awful third party GPU support, whether they are consumer cards or workstation cards. Both AMD and NVIDIA have low-end workstation cards. The Firepro equivalent to the Quadro 600 is the V4900 I believe. No CUDA obviously, but it does perform a little better in Maya than the Quadro. In order to run Mac OS X Applications that leverage the CUDA architecture of certain NVIDIA graphics cards, users will need to download and install the CUDA 5.5.28 driver for Mac located here. New in Release 331.01.01f01: Graphics driver updated for Mac OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 (13C64). In addition, the Quadro 4000 for Mac has some hardware restrictions. Mac Pros with the model identifier MacPro1,1 and MacPro2,1 are not compatible with the card, and even then, users with a compatible Mac Pro must be on the at least the fifth Snow Leopard version update, aka OS X 10.6.5. Hey, So, I've been doing research, and found a out that the best value for money Graphics Card is the Nvidia Quadro 4000. I'm not sure wether to bite the bullet and buy it, or wait until later to buy an RX 560. The Mac Pro is the 3, 1, which can get Mojave when using Dosdude1's Patcher.
I have installed a Quadro K5000 4GB Mac Edition on a Mac Pro 3.1. It was working fine with the OSX Mojave and previous OSXs, connected with two monitors LG 27EA83 (2560x1440) via 1x DVI and 1x DisplayPort, working on full resolution.
I installed the new OSX Catalina and after that the GFX Card does not work properly. That means only the two DVI ports give signal, the one of them on full resolution and the other at 1920x1080, which is normal. The problem is that the two DisplayPorts do not work at all and I cannot get the maximum resolution of the card video output.
I mention that the Nvidia website has not announced the drivers for Quadro K5000 for OSX Catalina yet and the system works with the default macOS Graphics Driver. My question is when/where I can get the proper drivers which will make the GFX card work properly. Is the drivers the main issue or I have to take other action? The system is working professionally for video editing and the GFX card is the heart, as you understand, it is a big problem for 10 days now.
I'm looking for a solution on that.
Should I have to change GFX Brand?
Kind Regards,
Mac Pro

The preference pane can be accessed normally through the System Preferences. It requires the user to click on the padlock icon and enter an Administrator password to make changes, and contains the following functionality:
GRAPHICS DRIVER TAB: Within this tab, the user can switch between the NVIDIA Web Driver and the default NVIDIA graphics driver that is included with OS X v10.8.5 (12F2560). If the user switches between drivers, they must click the Restart button for changes to take effect.
ECC TAB: Within this tab, the user can enable or disable ECC functionality on supported graphics cards. The user will see a list of their system’s PCI-E slots and any devices installed in them. If a device supports ECC, the user will be able to check the Enable Error Correcting Codes box next to the list. If the device does not support ECC then the box will be grayed out. Once the user makes changes to ECC, they will be required to restart the system.
NOTE: Currently, the only NVIDIA graphics card that supports ECC functionality is the NVIDIA Quadro K5000 for Mac. Enabling ECC requires a portion of the graphics card’s usable memory size and bandwidth. In the Graphics/Displays section of your System Information, you may notice the “VRAM (Total)” amount of your NVIDIA Quadro K5000 drops from 4096 MB to 3584 MB when ECC is enabled. This is normal.
